Jucy Phorum - Help

Hi,

I would like to get Jucy working on FreeBSD and add it to the system's ports tree so all FreeBSD users can benefit. I've tried running the linux version under emulation, but running the Jucy binary just produces this error:

Sun Sep 05 15:39:31 GMT 2010 - [main] Bundle tracker is not set

Ultimately I'd like to build Jucy to run natively under FreeBSD. I'm guessing this should be easy with it being Java based, but I've done a git clone of the source tree and I have no idea how the build system works. Could anyone provide me some pointers for building it?

JRE version:

java version "1.6.0_07"
Diablo Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_07-b02)
Diablo Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 10.0-b23, mixed mode)

In other clients like StrongDC + + and ApexDC + +, in the status bar I can see some letters in brackets [z] [c] [t] [ u ],
if I remember correctly ...8-)
Why in Jucy appear only the letter [z]?

Cannot add or modify favorite hubs (2 replies)

For example, I make changes in hub name, press OK. It blinks, doesn't close the mindow and nothting saves. I press ADVANCED, it also blinks and doesn't open the window with codepages. The only button that works well is CANSEL...
Sometimes all work well, sometimes I cannot add new hubs but can modify existent hubs, but I cannot add or modify more often.
What is gone wrong with my Jucy? Please help!
MacOS 10.5.8 on iMac G4, Jucy 0.82

I reinstalled Jucy and I don't remember now where to find the hub favorites. I have a backup of .UC and jucy folders. Quicksilver told me that time ago, before the forum was "restarted" but I don't remember lol

Is there a way to disguise the client or something in order to download from microdc2 users? It might have to be that segmented downloads are enabled, I'm not sure. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hallo,

ich surfe mit meinem Laptop im Moment über T-Mobile 3G mit einem Nokia N97 als Router im Internet. Leider schaffe ich es nicht, mich mit jucy zu einem Hub zu verbinden. Hast du irgendeine Idee was ich machen kann ?

i have problems with adch hub 2.5.0. I can connect, up and download, but i can not chat.
i can read all but nothing write. i think it is the encryption. Adch uses DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA.
the problem is only in adcs mode. if i connect adc i can write.

please help me, dead chat sucks

Is there any way to uninstall extensions? I can't seem to find it if there is.

I've installed the GeoIP country data extension, but it's a bit buggy (pops up error messages since installing) so I'd rather get rid of it.

Using 0.83 on Mac Snow Leopard.

Hey, just wondering where JUCY stores all it's config settings. Running on Mac, and can't find anything in the usual "/Library/Application Support/" folder. Would like to be able to transfer settings and logs from one machine to another.

a hub I've used with shakepeer for a couple years now bans it for not supporting latest dc++ client features (unspecified)
Since juicy is being updated rapidly I though it might be ok, but no go. any idea what features are at issue or if they are planned for juicy anytime soon? meanwhile resorting to DC++ in parallels VM :( going to try and find out what the issues are.

hi,
problem is i try to run latest jucy after i unzipped and is complining about not finding a java runtime after searching in : /home/user/jucy/jre/bin/java. i don't know what to do , how to change the locations it's searching for java cause i'm pretty sure i installed. i run arch linux and i did pacman -S jre all went fine, exported PATH, i have these lines in my .bashrc:
export PATH=/opt/java/bin:$PATH
export JAVA_HOME="/opt/java/"
export CLASSPATH=.:/opt/java/
but this is where my scarce linux knowledge ends.I don't know what to change where, if any one is kind enough to help i greatly thank him/her
