Hi,

thanks for this new version of Jucy.
I think I've found a little bug ....
I hope to explain well. :D

With DC + + if I download a folder with many files within a user and then i do a search for alternatives even on one of these files, DC + + automatically updates the sources founds to other files in the same folder.
With Jucy this does not happen, I have to search for alternatives for each file if I want more sources to download.
This procedure is long and tedious because we must wait the time of research of hubs.

After some discussions with another Jucy OSX user, we've seen these fixes:

1) URLs are displaying properly!
2) Smileys no longer seem to clip text, yay!

New (possible) issue:

1) Search input at the top (in the toolbar) isn't expanding when the window is resized, or its toolbar is resized, etc

Old issue:

1) Changing fonts still doesn't appear to do anything, even after restarting.

Old issues re: magnets that I'm not sure whether are issues, only that they work differently than in other clients:

1) Other clients don't require the xl (size) or dn (filename) components of the magnet link, just the tth. I realize you display the filename and size in the magnet link, but I just wanted to point this out. (Other clients get the filename after doing a TTH search)

2) The dn unescaping seems to not handle the %xx form (like %20 = space). Again, I don't know if this is expected. Since other clients appear to get the filename from the TTH search results, unescaping may not actually matter in those clients.

I am very happy about the URL display fix - folks always seem to put something after links that I'd miss completely, or only see the end of, so this was a biggie. Thank you very much for tracking the bugs down! I'll keep my eyes open for anything else.

Hi

First of all thanks for the good work done so far.

In order to contribute to improve Jucy, I wanted to point out that after the hash of files, Jucy continue to consume lots of memory, + / - 1 Gb.
Only after closing the client and restart it, jucy back to have a normal consumption of resources, about 400/500 Mb.

Jucy not crash, but the consumption of resources and memory remains high after making a hash of all files, and the fans are very much noise to my ears!! :D

Greetings.

Hey,

I'm using version 0.84 32bit for Mac running 10.6.4. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but Jucy takes a really long time to launch. From the time I double click the .app it can take up to 2 full minutes of staring at the splash screen until the interface comes up and connects. Since there aren't actually any errors, I'm not sure if I should post the log or not. Let me know what you need and I'll post it. Thanks.

then i open task manager...

I've noticed this a bunch now - when the client breaks a transfer into pieces, it frequently has a problem with the end of the transfer - specifically, when it has downloaded the part, it doesn't initiate a download of the next piece, nor does it close the connection. As time passes, the average transfer rate is updated. Eventually, the connection times out, closes, and things seem to work normally again. If I close the connection manually, it immediately closes and seems to go back to normal. No errors appear in the logs.

I am pretty sure this only affects partial downloads - I've never seen it when downloading an entire file from a single user.

This is a new bug (I believe) since 0.83.

I am on OSX 10.6.3, running the 64 bit version.

Error hashing downloaded files. OSX (8 replies)

Every time I download a file and Jucy tries to hash it after it's downloaded, I get this error:

I thought it was maybe because the file names are too long, but it has no problem hashing them if I use the file menu command. Not sure what the problem is.

Jucy 0.83 not starting (7 replies)

Hi,

Somehow when I start Jucy 0.83 (iMac), it shows the Jucy picture/logo for a while, but then it closes without any message.
I did not have this problem with 0.82. I have also tried 0.81 again, and it works fine.
When I try at my Macbook it does start without problems, so it must be something on my iMac system (although 0.82 does start without problems....)
Any suggestions?

Cheers

How to report bugs (no replies)

If you encountered something that seems to be a bug.
i.e. Jucy presented you with an error message:

To fix it I need to get the log files Jucy writes.
Its 2 files in total.
They are both to be found in Jucy's workspace. On Windows this is: "C:\Users\<username>\UC"
and on Unix based systems also in the home directory just with a . .. i.e. "~/.UC" i.e. "/home/<username>/.UC"

There the file "error.log" and in the file ".metadata/.log" are the 2 logfiles I need.

You can post them here best by simßply uploading them to [pastebin.com] and putting just the link here into the forum.

Please also include in your post the version of Jucy you are using and what you did when the problem occured.
